IT Management and Support Officer

RiskMatrix are interested in hiring a self-motivated IT professional to handle all internal IT infrastructure work as well as install, configure and support internal software solutions. The ideal candidate should have genuine passion for technology, self-learning attitude and problem-solving approach. Attention to detail and an analytical mind are essential prerequisites. All levels of experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Install, and maintain setup of network infrastructure.
  • Manage internal Windows servers and Active Directory.
  • Maintain proper functioning of VMware servers including backups with Veeam.
  • Deploy, configure and retire VMware virtual machines as needed.
  • Identify company-wide needs on infrastructure, liaise with suppliers to seek tenders and recommend, execute and manage new IT purchases (hardware and software).
  • Liaise with internal and external teams on SaaS-Cloud operations/solutions, managing the implementation of the proposed solution.
  • Manage and support deployed software solutions including Microsoft 365 and other solutions to be adopted in the future for internal support.
  • Deploy and configure staff laptop.
  • Act as the first point of contact for internal troubleshooting issues (both software and hardware).
  • When time permits, to provide customer support on the software platform that RiskMatrix provides to its clients. Relevant training will be provided.

Requirements

  • Thorough understanding of networks, routers, and switches.
  • Solid knowledge of operating systems (Windows Server, Windows Professional, RHEL).
  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving capability.
  • Investigative and self-learning.
  • Knowledge of SQL, VMware ESXi and Veeam Backup are a plus.
  • A BSc degree in Computer Science.
  • Excellent spoken and written English.
  • This is a senior position and a significant number of years of experience is essential.

The position is based in Larnaca, Cyprus, and will involve some travelling within the countries in the region that RiskMatrix covers.

IT Solutions Specialist

Responsibilities

  • Understand client requirements and how they can be implemented and configured with the provided tools.
  • Collaborate with a team of IT professionals to agree on the specifications for new deployments.
  • Deploy and configure software solutions to clients either on-site or remotely.
  • Conduct functional and non-functional testing.
  • Troubleshoot and debug applications.
  • Support the deployed software solutions, together with the prerequisites and provide solutions to all issues that arise.

Essential Requirements

  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Knowledge of operating systems and platforms such as RedHat Linux and Microsoft Windows Server.
  • Adequate knowledge of relational database systems and document or hybrid databases.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML5/CSS3.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving capability.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting/financial analysis.
  • A BSc degree in Computer Science or relevant field.

Desirable Requirements

  • An MSc degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Experience in programming languages such as C#, .NET.
  • Experience in Workflow design.
  • Experience in R.
  • Experience in Report design.

Software Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Develop custom software modules within the solutions promoted and implemented by the company.
  • Deploy and configure software modules to clients either on-site or remotely.
  • Collaborate with a team of IT professionals to agree on the specifications for new deployments.
  • Attend discovery workshops and fact-finding meetings to consult and record system requirements.
  • Prepare business proposals, projects plan, and effort estimates for the proposed solutions.
  • Prepare the technical documents as well as the user manuals for the proposed solutions.
  • Integrate individual software solutions to external systems.
  • Conduct functional and non-functional testing.
  • Troubleshoot and debug applications.
  • Support the deployed software solutions, together with the prerequisites and provide solutions to all issues that arise.
  • Supervise assigned resources and manage project timelines and team tasks, ensuring timely completion of projects to company specifications (for experienced candidates).
  • Provide knowledge transfer workshops and training (internally and to clients) as needed.

Requirements

  • A BSc degree in computer science or relevant field.
  • An MSc degree will be considered an advantage.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving capability.
  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Knowledge on relational database systems and document or hybrid databases.
  • Sound knowledge of HTML5/CSS3.
  • Experience in object-oriented programming languages such as C#, .NET
  • Experience developing REST and SOAP APIs.
  • Experience with ASP.Net MVC / ASP.Net Core MVC.
  • Experience with ORM Frameworks such as Entity Framework, Dapper etc.
  • Experience in modern front-end frameworks such as Angular, React etc., or Blazor.
  • Experience in Report design with reporting tools such as Crystal Reports, DevExpress, Telerik, Jasper etc.
  • Knowledge of operating systems and platforms such as RedHat Linux and Microsoft Windows Server will be considered an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and management skills.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting/financial analysis will be considered as an advantage.

Quantitative Programmer

Responsibilities

  • Developing and maintaining quantitative models and methodologies.
  • Formulating and applying mathematical and statistical modelling techniques using R.
  • Working on theoretical modelling, empirical-testing, historical back-testing, statistical analysis of data, numerical implementations of analytical modules, and model documentation.
  • Analysing and defining data requirements.
  • Performing reviewing, calibrating, and testing of models to ensure adequacy, and provide support for business usage of the models.
  • Working on compliance of models and documentation with internal and regulatory requirements.
  • Working with clients to understand and define their customization needs of the Moody’s Ratings Platform.
  • Implementing Moody’s Ratings Platform customizations using PostgreSQL, R, and C#.
  • Supporting clients during testing and final production deployment of customizations.

Requirements

  • Good coding knowledge in at least one programming language. Familiarity with SQL would be a plus.
  • Willingness to familiarize yourself with R, PostgreSQL, C#, and Excel.
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in Mathematics, Statistics, Operational Research, Computer Science, Physics, or Engineering, from a reputable academic institution.
  • Analytical and Logical Reasoning.
